Product Description

Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the construction, materials, dimensions and test requirements for single-core and three-core cross-linked

polyethylene (XLPE) insulated cables with copper or aluminium conductors, for use at operating voltages in the range 3,8/6,6 kV

to 19/33 kV.

1.2 The standard is applicable to the following cable types:

a) single-core and three-core cables for 3,8/6,6 kV to 19/33 kV;

b) Armoured and Unarmoured,

c) With or without a metallic sheath.

1.3 The cables are designed for use at amaximum continuous conductor operatingtemperature of

90 °C and a maximum short-circuit conductor temperature of 250 °C.
